Recognising excellence in HIV awareness and prevention communication

31 January 2007

The Health Communication Partnership’s Positive Living Handbook has won a Red Ribbon Leadership Excellence Award for communication. The awards, which recognise outstanding leadership in the response to the AIDS epidemic in Zambia, were presented at a ceremony on 11 December at the Hotel Intercontinental in Lusaka. The award for communications recognises ‘outstanding leadership in developing and delivering effective HIV awareness and prevention communication’.

The handbook, developed in collaboration with people with HIV, is a practical guide on positive living, aimed at people who know their HIV status and those who are living with or caring for people with HIV.
